Unstoppable Global Warming: Every 1,500 Years, Updated and Expanded Edition – Review
“Unstoppable Global Warming” gives an different explanation for climate change. If the book was a mostly bit more honest, I would have rated it better. However, the book is not extremely convincing about the effects or lack of effects of CO2. This is a shame. One of the embarassments of “global warming” is that CO2 levels are steadily climbing rapidly but the temperature rise curve does NOT show a correlation to the quick rise in CO2 levels. However, there is moral science available on the results of the sunspot cycle on climate. This book does present that case with useful data. However, I particularly noted that some of the graphs may not be completely accurate interpretations of factual technical data. A second cause of doubt about “global warming” is that the alarmists tables of international temperatures do not appear to show the warming and cooling that has been historically recorded. The “little ice age’ is mostly ignored by “warmists”. My own previously thought after simply reading this book is that the notions here should be given further credence by any one who believes in “Climate Change”. And, these ideas require to be factored into the equation, when eventually deciding what to do about “Climate Change”. I would suggest that there is a serious strategic need for the USA to reduce our dependence on external oil. As a part of that effort, I see no reason why we should not encourage development of energy sources that would have a lighter impact on the environment than oil and coal. Also, I think that encouragement of fuel efficiency is a nice thing. I think that this book is worthwhile and deserves to be widely read. However, I am not enthusiastic about the author’s politics.
