Once again, the Skeptical Environmentalist has eventually brought a large lens to a specific problem, reminding us that if we have stated goals, there are more efficient and efficient ways to meet them. For example, if the goal is to eliminate deaths from maximum temperatures, you have to look at more data than just those around deaths from heat prostration. A short, wise book, not quite as well-written as “The Skeptical Environmentalist,” it is still excellent and important.
