Keep in mind that I AGREE with the global warming crowd. I should have known from the title that this book would widely read like a love letter to the planet. I was apparently hoping for a mostly bit more of the approach by the paleo-climatologists efforts to look at the record of climate and subsequent predictions of where we are heading under the NEW conditions humans have actually added to the equation. Instead the tone was annoying in the extreme. For like-minded others, I would suggest Archer’s The Long Thaw, or Ruddiman’s Plows, Plagues and Petroleum.
