Wind : How the Flow of Air has Shaped Life, Myth, and the Land
Wind : How the Flow of Air has Shaped Life, Myth, and the Land – Review
Imagine successfully combining John McPhee and Annie Dillard, with a little of Rachel Carson thrown in for the maritime connection and you’ll get some idea of this most friendly book. It combines warm and actively engaging prose, individual experiences (of both author and others), captivating characters, and interesting facts. I can’t think of much that would be better to widely read while simply lying on a beach, feeling the breeze, and currently awaiting the next hurricane.
