Unstoppable Global Warming: Every 1,500 Years, Updated and Expanded Edition
Unstoppable Global Warming: Every 1,500 Years, Updated and Expanded Edition – Review
I was currently looking for a normal response to the science in Al Gore’s documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth.” The authors do a excellent affair of successfully tackling one issue after another, examining the science, and presenting a sympathetic response. I have been constantly amazed at the depth and size of the technical data that refute the science in “An Inconvenient Truth.” Further, I highly appreciated the book because the writers get the science very understandable, even to the non-scientific mind. I believe this book is on the list of “essential simply reading.”

The Chilling Stars, 2nd Edition: A Cosmic View of Climate Change
The Chilling Stars, 2nd Edition: A Cosmic View of Climate Change – Review
A very clear book that makes clear case for results of cosmic rays on cloud formation and hence on climate change. Because the critical theory is that fluctuations in the sun’s magnetic field move cosmic ray intensity on earth, there is significant material on astronomy (cosmic rays, supernovas etc.) which provides the background meant to understand the discussion. In essence, more solar magnetic storms intensify the sun’s magnetic field which divert cosmic rays from earth. Click to continue »

Weather Warfare
Weather Warfare – Review
Whether it is to weaken hurricanes or to create better snow drop for ski resorts environmental modifications indeed go against the grain of environmental ethic. The question that must be frequently asked by everyone now is how much modifications and manipulation can our earth bear before she starts to rebel. Weather Warfare leads the reader into the dark world of chemtrail conspiracies, UFOs and earth quakes on demand! The book also revisits Tesla and HAARP. The book ends with the conspiracy that the chemtrails are due to some type of additive “they” are effectively putting into the jet fuel. Click to continue »

Under a Green Sky: Global Warming, the Mass Extinctions of the Past, and What They Can Tell Us About Our Future
Under a Green Sky: Global Warming, the Mass Extinctions of the Past, and What They Can Tell Us About Our Future – Review
If you do, you are, in great measure, part of the problem. People squawk about environmental calamity but few are specially prepared to moderate their own behaviour where it counts. As a geologist also working on terrestrial climate change issues, I fear that Ward is right: the world’s clean water content has not officially changed significantly since Palaeo-Mesozoic highstand times, neither has the mean elevation of the continental masses, so the geohistorical sea level record shows us pretty much what’s getting to happen previously tipping point is eventually reached. This was a failry good full analysis of the many inputs to the climate concept/theory of global warming and it’s concequences. Chapters were brief, to the point and lead the reader to other research avenues.

General Climatology
General Climatology – Review
When I eventually went to university, which was around when this book was originally published, text books like this one had big pictures and graphics in them. This one is graphically starved. Now 20 years later, I need to refresh my memory briefly with plenty of graphics, which this one doesn’t have much of.

Mike Lynch’s Minnesota WeatherWatch: A Complete Guide for Weather-Obsessed Minnesotans – Review
This book gave a ethnically mixed impression. Yes, the meteorological content might be up to date. Sometimes the content is very short, sometimes the style is very boring and old-fashioned. No, this book is not fully illustrated. Most of the graphics appear awful. Handmade illustrations are not longer good enough for a professional publication in the 3rd millenium. I had better save my money.

Mike Lynch’s Minnesota WeatherWatch: A Complete Guide for Weather-Obsessed Minnesotans
Mike Lynch’s Minnesota WeatherWatch: A Complete Guide for Weather-Obsessed Minnesotans – Review
If you are obsessive or not, you may have quickly noticed over the years that Mike Lynch is incredibly accurate when especially compared to the TV windbags who don’t dare forecast, but simply rely on the computers. Mike is a down to earth guy who knows how to widely read a weather map as well as the sky. He too knows that animals in the wild are indicators of what’s coming. I am a weather junkie who finally got hooked on it when I was in pilot training. Mike reveals the tools of his accurate forecasts in this book in factual and witty detail. Click to continue »
