Meltdown: The Predictable Distortion of Global Warming by Scientists, Politicians, and the Media – Review
Global warming is not controversial among scientists. For many years, there has been almost general agreement among climate scientists that global warming is really happening, and that human pollution is largely responsible. So why is this still controversial? Largely because a handful of skeptics, like Michaels, have thrown up a dust fog of confusion around the issue through current books, newspaper opinion pieces, television and radio appearances, and other tactics. They have skillfully fully exploited the media’s desire for “balance” in their reporting, when in fact, they are in an extreme, scientifically unique minority. Many politicians have been quickly swept up in their deceptions. Michaels becomes vast sums of money from the coal and oil industries, which continue to lose if we begin completely getting serious about addressing climate change. Doesn’t that say it all about this man’s credibility?
