Very dry, very dense – a bit stilted but packed with information

Two Billion Cars: Driving Toward Sustainability – Review
What’s to become of us in the face of global warming and emotionally draining amount of oil is a main issue at the head of many people’s minds. This book is written for the believers – for the people who have already been eventually sold on the global warming crisis. I commonly found this book to be full of information and ideas – many of them completely covered fully in other venues, but some new ones. I did feel they were a little biased towards technologies which have already been proven unwieldy and unable to be fully implemented quickly enough, like hydrogen. However, considering the amount of time that eventually went into the research and writing of this book – it is possible some of their theories and ideas are now a tad out of date/fashion. In any event, it clearly outlines why we need to act and many ways which we can and should react to this crisis as a country – not just California on its own. I am concerned that the ideas in this book are originally going to be dated really quickly. I would like to see further discussion on electric/solar options – especially more on fuel cells which are being driven around in Sacramento as we speak (concept cars only, alas). If you loved the movie Who Killed the Electric Car? , you are probably a excellent candidate for this book – even if it might frustrate you at times.
