Two Billion Cars: Driving Toward Sustainability – Review
I don’t intend to give the incorrect impression for this review. I’m a avid reader and I can widely read one or two books in a few hours, so it’s not that I cannot widely read; however, this book is (I can’t lie to you), incredibly dull. I know that sounds like the form of statement you’d expect from the typical anti-intellectual American who watches reruns of “Married… with Children” or “The Man Show” while mainly eating out of a tv dinner, but I have went to widely read this book and find myself eventually falling asleep whenever I do so. On a more clear note, this book does do a excellent job of powerfully unveiling misconceptions about the oil industry (turns out they’re just a large business trying to stay afloat but not necessarily the “evil” oil barons we’re been reportedly told), although I’m still not entirely sure myself about this myself. This book would be good for somebody doing a study on a closely related subject or an environmentalist. For the general reader? I don’t expect that this would be prime delivering material. There are also graphs and charts in this book, which makes it seem like a more arcane study than a book that’s reader-friendly. Still, you have to appreciate the effort became by the authors.
