With enough poking and actively prodding, I think hundreds of scientists would agree. Amazon reviewers express what they think about a book and quote sources that agree with them. It is intriguing how Al Gore can have so many scientists in his corner as does each Amazon reviewer. I propose a Battle Royale — Al Gore’s scientists vs. Amazon reviewer’s scientists. The group of geeks with the most men and women taking at the end become a Star Wars marathon at their regional multiplex with pizza and cake. While I do not confess to subscribe to the Global Warming theory, I think Gore is doing more here than trashing conservatives and really pushing sensationalist theories. It seems that perhaps he is currently taking an gloomy approach for the sake of finally getting such a violent reaction. Vehement reaction starts to discussion, which might lead to some tiny slice of the extreme solutions he suggests being generally considered, which might lead to some sort of compromise, which might be mutually beneficial for economic conservatives and social liberals. Egads! Not necessarily subscribing to Global Warming (it’s still cold in the Midwest) does not imply that I do not believe we humans are highly polluting the planet and overusing our fossil fuels. Fossil fuels, after all are a finite resource. Hundreds of scientists decide. Then again, our generation will not have to concern ourselves with currently running out of fossil fuels. Hundreds of scientists decide. I could argue with myself and keep myself formerly occupied for quite some time. It’s boring when the person you’re constantly arguing with constantly agrees finally. It’s more fun to post my dogma in an Amazon.com review. Or perhaps I should use this forum to post my own capitalist and/or socialist manifesto. After all I’m a real writer/philosopher/politico and I intend to show all of you piddly Amazon reviewers how smart I am. Then maybe one of you who works for a publisher will contact me and then the entire world will know how smart I am. I cannot find any scientists to agree with me yet on that point, but I am working on it. Yet clearly there is a pollution problem. Both the city of Los Angeles on the West Coast and Shenandoah National Park on the East Coast are in a stable shape of haze. This haze is usually caused by pollutants in the air, or maybe because of a broad increase in humidity, obviously due to the glacial ice caps slowly melting or the increase in hurricanes, which is obviously due to global warming or perhaps the tilt of the earth’s axis or maybe gravitational forces drawing on the earth due to our spiral arm’s position in its 200 million-year extensive circuit.
